Happy Birthday, Journee

It has been a year since Journee LaBelle Barry was born. In some ways it feels like it has been a long time, but in other ways, it feels like yesterday. I am still sad. Stupid, I know. I should be fine, but it is hard. I keep reminding myself of all of my blessings. I have 2 perfect angels giving me extra strength today. We took the kids to PF Changs to celebrate Journee's Birthday:)

I have been such a blogging slacker, and go figure when I finally get around to blogging, it is about cake! I have lost 10 pounds in the last month and am avoiding cake, but my sister in law, Nancy, made the cutest cake for the ward's auction. Brian bought it for $20. She says it was a pity buy, but she is sooo wrong. I would have paid a lot more if I were there. Why was I not there you may ask??? Oh, because Jaxson blew chunks all over the floor by the food line after I got there. I had to take him home where he ate chicken nuggets and french fries (I know bad mom), but surprise, surprise, he threw up again! What a day at the Barry house!

She said, "Ms. Carol said we are so clever that we don't need to wait until 5th grade to learn it."

Disney on Ice and a New Niece

Nancy and Greg had their new baby girl, Emery Iokina (My brother thinks he is Polynesian). I think she looks just like their first daughter, Quinn. Maybe it is the same "Why are you looking at me" face she is making.

So fun.

We went to Disney on Ice today with the kids.

They LOVED it!!! They clapped and cheered whenever a new character came out.

While looking out the car window at the snow, Oaklee and Jaxson had this conversation:

Oaklee: Wow, look at the snow. It is so beautiful!

Jaxson: Yeah, and it is handsome, too!

The kids all took a shower and Jaxson got out first. I told him to hurry and dry off and get his underwear on. He told me that after Charlee and Oaklee got out, they were going to snuggle.

We had so much fun celebrating the new year with the Barry's at the cabin!

Santa Came!!

Last night we had a lovely family dinner.

While the kids were out looking at Christmas lights with GoGo and Grandpa, Santa called to see if he could come over early!

We happily said yes!

Charlee got a Razor Scooter and Three Musketeers Barbie.

She also got lots of clothes and Project and Draw! Jaxson got lots of Buzz and Woody stuff!
He got talking Buzz and Woody. They are very cool.

He was soooooo happy!

Oaklee got a barbie to head that you can do her hair and stuff.

She also got a new winter coat!

Jax got a new coat, too.

I got a Snuggie (Totally embarrassing!). I also got a bunch of new jewelry.

Brian got a new hockey stick and a shake maker.

Oaklee also got a swimming baby. They played with her today in the tub!

We had a lovely holiday and it is not even Christmas yet!

What A Dumb Wall!!

The kids are not allowed to eat on the carpet, but heaven forbid they don't watch TV while they eat. Our house has this half wall. It is gross. They spill stuff down it. They eat on it. It is pretty nasty and has to be cleaned almost daily.

Christmas Update

Jaxson had his Christmas Part on Wednesday.

Here he is with his teacher, Miss Lorene. Nice Jammies!! I ate lunch with Oaklee and Charlee at school on Friday.

Oaklee ate all of the breading off her Chicken McNugget and said,

"Look Mom, my nugget is naked!"

The girls participated in the school's Christmas program on Tuesday night.

They both did so well. Charlee told us not to wave at her and "If you wave at me, I won't wave back because I am a professional."

Isn't she so pretty!!

Oaklee always cracks me up. She was pretty "Non-Professional" waving at us. She sang great and being short worked out for her because she got to be in the front. He pulled her antlers down like sunglasses and got the laugh she was desiring from the audience.
Jaxson and Andee had a lovely time enjoying the production.
