The New Blob of Cells

I just posted the widget for the new baby on my blog today... It is kind of not cute!! I went to the Doctor on Wednesday and got to look at my little blob of cells. I know that sounds a little mean, but that is what he/she looked like. I go back next Thursday for another ultrasound. They are going to be VERY careful with me this pregnancy (Like they were so lenient before). Dr. Erickson wants me to have a weekly ultrasound to check the length of my cervix. When it starts to shorten at all, I go into bed for the duration. I am also going to see the Perinatologist to see if he wants to stitch my cervix closed. I am not so sure about this one, but I will wait and see what he has to say. I am hoping that Heavenly Father will give me a break on this one. I gave Trevee to him and I am not even mad about it. Maybe he will reward me??? If not, I am okay with that. I hope I don't have a rough time, but I will do what I have to to bring my baby home. If by some chance, history repeats itself, I will be sad, but I know that I will be okay. Heavenly Father has blessed me with so much and I am grateful for what I have been given. I am so excited about the sweet baby inside of me. The kids are pretty happy, too. They keep rubbing my fat tummy. It is fat, not baby that they rub, so I don't know how I feel about it:)

Ty's Funeral

My cousin, Tyrel, had his funeral on Saturday in Snowflake. It was a beautiful experience. It was sad to see him as Charlee says "in his box". It did not look like him at all. I guess that is because his sweet spirit was not in his body. It was just his shell. I did not like that part. It was sad to see his friends and family sad, but it seemed that everyone was okay with where he is. My Aunt and Uncle and one of my cousins read from Ty's journal. A week before he killed himself, he wrote something about wanting to die and being ready to go meet his Heavenly Father. He also talked about knowing that his family would be okay because they know the Plan of Salvation. I don't condone taking one's own life. His family does not condone it, either. It was comforting to hear that his sickness made him get to this point. I know that Heavenly Father will forgive my cousin. He was smart... so smart that I think he was a little too analytical and when he got sick, his smarts about the gospel clouded his views. He had a photographic memory. He could play the piano beautifully. He won the Arizona State Wrestling title with a broken finger and a ripped off toenail. I did not know these things before his funeral. I am so grateful that I was able to learn these things. I know he is at peace. I know that he is happy and free from his illness. I am happy for him and for his family. I am so happy that they have faith in the gospel. Without faith, I don't think I could handle some things that the Lord has sent me. I know I would not be having another baby without the faith that the Lord's will will be done. I don't want to lose another baby. I have a fear, but I know that I have constant comfort if I ask for it. I am so grateful for this faith.

Scottee and her BIG Mouth!!

I have such a big mouth and I am so excited that I have told enough individual people to announce it to everyone... We are Pregnant!! Well, I am Pregnant, but Brian can take some credit. We are so excited. I am not due until September 19th, but our "Goal Date" is August 22nd. That will put us at 36 weeks, which will be great. I hope everything goes well, but I am not sure I will ever relax in this pregnancy. Some people wait until after the 1st trimester before they tell everyone in the "safe zone", but I am not sure that the safe zone exists for me. I am so grateful for all of my sweet friends and family who prayed for me to get pregnant. I appreciate your love, support, and faith. It makes my faith grow to see our prayers answered. I am so Excited!! I had to take multiple tests to check!! Yep... they say Pregnant!!

Turn Down the Sound and Listen to Oaklee...Crazy!!

Oaklee was looking at my blog and doing this weird little laugh. I sneaked the video because it was so random. She usually does not laugh like this, but it is pretty funny.

Bonfire

We had a bonfire in our backyard to burn our Christmas boxes and My Mom and Dad's Christmas tree. It was fun. We roasted the jumbo strawberry marshmallows. Only one or two turned into flame throwers. The kids love "Fire Parties". Charlee played her new princess guitar so we had nice music. Oaklee wore her Dora backpack and almost hit a few people with her roasting skewer. Jaxson was a pyro maniac, but he eventually asked to go inside because it was dark and he was tired. It was fun!!

Oh, Oaklee

Brian got a whoopee cushion from my Mom in his stocking at Christmas. Oaklee is the only one of our kids to figure out how to blow it up. She calls it her "Fart Bag" nice, huh?? It is funny how she blows it up and the others sit on it and give it back for her to blow it up again. Now if she could just learn how to blow her nose...

I am so Blessed!

This weekend was a little sad for me and my family. My 25 year old cousin, Ty, died on Sunday morning. He was not well in the head and took his own life in what we can only assume was a very dark time for him. It makes me sad that some religions believe that if a person commits suicide that they go to hell. What kind of a Heavenly Father would do that to someone? He was sick and I know that Heavenly Father loves him and will continue to have mercy on him. He served a mission for our church in Oregon. He was the Arizona State High School wrestling champion. He was such a nice kid. He was handsome, smart, and well loved. It makes me sad that he is gone because he had so much potential. I will miss him and I ask for all of your prayers for my Aunt, Uncle, and 7 other cousins as they come to terms with the loss of a son, brother, and uncle. I think of how sad I still am over losing Trevee and I did not have 25 years to get to know her. I can't imagine losing one of my kids at that age and I hurt for everyone who has to go through that. I am so blessed to have the kids that I do here with me on Earth. I am so thankful for the opportunity that I had to get to know the real spirit of my cousin. I am thankful for the knowledge of the Plan of Salvation. I know where he is and I know he is safe, loved, and with my sweet baby Trevee.:)

I love Jaxson I love Jaxson I love Jaxson

So last night Brian and I stayed up late to watch a movie together. It was about 11:30 when it ended and he went in to tuck in the kids. To his surprise, Jaxson was not in his room. He went into the Girls' room and found Jaxson sitting on Oaklee's bed chatting with her and playing a leapster video game. He is such a turkey about staying in his room lately. This was the final straw for Brian. He turned the door handle around so we can lock Jax in his room. I was so sad. I am sure he will turn out okay despite the door handle thing.

Jaxson also gave me another surprise yesterday. I was busy most of the morning because our refrigerator broke sometime in the night or previous day and I was canning all of the thawed meat from the freezer and putting all the fridge stuff into ice chests in the kitchen. I went to find him because he was a little too quiet for a little too long. I found him in my laundry room playing in my food storage. I laughed and took his picture as he put cans into cups, and then I realized what he had done. He pulled the seal off of all of my cans of Oatmeal (6 cans). I guess I get to vacuum saver all of that now, too. He is so cute and funny though. After he got into trouble last night, he came into my bed and hugged me and kissed me... Then Brian kicked him out of the bed:). I guess you gotta love little boys!!

The New House Rules.

Anya gave me a good idea about how to solve the behavior problems with our crappy kids:). She said to make a family rules chart and stick to the consequences. For FHE this week, we did this as our activity. Charlee thought of the "No getting in Mom's Purse" rule and Brian came up with the sniffing a diaper for 1 minute as a consequence for talking back. I nixed that one, but I put it on the chart because I thought it was funny. It has actually worked this week!! They know the consequence and we have been good about following through, so thanks for the great idea, Anya!!
