Ode to the king of closets... or queen:)

I had such a great day today.
I have decided that I love the closet in my new house.
I loved the pantry in my old house, but this closet makes me really want to shop!
It is 24x 8 sf (Scottee feet)!
If you look to the back of the really messy closet (We moved a week ago, give me a break) you will notice the pack-n-play that my niece, Ande slept in. It is like a little attached nursery:)

I also thought I would include the pic of our little TV moving to the new house. The silly boys buckled it into my car. At least they did not name it:)

I am So Tired!!

I have a lot going on!
We picked Ande and Bastian this morning to stay with us for a few days. They have been pretty easy, but adding 2 more kids takes some getting used to. I feel like my kids are eating CONSTANTLY!! They are asking for a snack or eating a snack any time I turn around. I think my grocery bill may bankrupt us if they keep this eating up!
Oh, and I am ready for a nap:)

Griping about my new house that I will grow to love!

I hate stairs!! We have only been here a few days and the stairs are already my arch nemesis. We just don't get along. I hate carrying laundry up or down then. I really need a shoot to drop it in so I don't have to lug it down... come to think of it, an elevator to get it back up would be great, too:) I keep stubbing my toes on the stairs. I am getting dehydrated at night because I don't want to go all the way down the stairs to refill my drink. My kids yell downstairs and it echos up to me in my bedroom... somehow my voice yelling at them to stop fighting does not make it all the way down the stairs to them. Hmmmm. Are voices like heat? They rise, but don't go down? I know my east facing bedroom cooks in the afternoon, but the space is great. Slowly but surely, my house will look great. Yes, Allison, I will have a house warming party. Wanna Come??

We Moved!!

We moved to our new house on Saturday! Whoo Hoo! Yeah, now we need to unpack everything... not such a big whoo hoo and no exclamation point:) I was a little surprised to see my bedroom TV buckled in in my back seat:) Oh boys... It took 6 men to carry our big screen (AKA "Steevie the TV"... they named my TV). Two men actually carried the 62 inch monster and the other 4 walked with it "just in case". Men are so silly. I told them that the only piece of furniture that I cared about was my dining room table... it got thrown in the back of John's truck. I will give it to them that the back of the truck was the safest place for my table, but I thought the men's mentality was pretty funny.

When my mom came to visit, she asked Oaklee how many bathrooms the house had. Oaklee made a puzzled face, turned, and ran. She was back a minute later, winded, and yelled "3"! She is pretty cute!

Sweet Baby J

I am supposed to be packing since we are moving at 6:30 in the a.m., but I wanted to write a little bit about my sweet baby boy:).

I never thought that I would only have one son. I always thought that I would have 2 of each... Man am I glad that I only have one boy to spoil.
He is so great.
He loves me so much and I love him!

Two days ago, he stepped on a toothpick. I held an ice pack on it while he cried all the while thinking that Brian and I both saw him dump out said toothpicks and ask him to pick them up... which he did not do:)
I took him to the doctor when red streaks started going up his foot... Yeah... Ouch!
He got put on an antibiotic.
I asked him to show me his foot and he took this fabulous picture...

He is growing up so fast and I wanted to record some of his funnier moments:
1. He calls Burritos "Bweetos"
2. He says that another name for boys is dude and girls are chicks.
3. He said that girls have boobs, boys call them chests and everyone has nipples.
4. We tell him not to do stuff and he says, "too late" and runs away.
5. He likes to lick people.
6. He calls baby pictures of himself Baby J like it is a different person.
7. He can barely fit into his bed because of all of his stuff.

He is so Special!!
Thanks GoGo and Grandpa for babysitting...
Off to packing again:)

Generic vs Name Brand

My kids are weird!
I buy them Cinnamon Toast Crunch, the most expensive cereal ever, and they jump up and down when I buy the big bag of Coco Roos??
I offer them Kraft Macaroni and Cheese and they want Velveeta Shells and Cheese (2x the cost of Kraft). When I was little, we ate the store brand. We thought we were rich when we could get the "real thing"
Jaxson thinks everything and anything can be purchased at Walmart with fake money in a fake bank using a fake debit card.
I worry that I am raising snots!
They love the finer things in life... except for Coco Roos... I may never understand the fun in that one:)

Twilight and Moving On

I love to listen to books on my Mp3 player. I have recently gotten into English time period romance/ suspense books. I like them. I used to listen to Twilight over and over again. I started to listen to them again to prepare for the Eclipse release at the end of the month. I love those books, but I over did them for so long that they don't keep my attention:(

We got the keys to our new pad yesterday. I love moving because it is a little "forced cleansing" thing, but I hate moving because it is a lot of work. I have to figure out where everything will go all over again! Some people love to remodel... for me, once I get it in a good place it stays there. I love the initial decorating process, but I don't like feeling overwhelmed. Our new place does have more room than our current house, so that is nice. It is always easier to move from a small place to a bigger place than the other way around.

"I Got Pool Ear!"

So, I learned that Swimmer's Ear really does hurt. Did you know that it means more than just water in your ears? This native Arizonan didn't! Well, I thought my cute Oaklee was being a big wimp all week complaining about her ear hurting. I asked her if it was inside her ear that hurt and she said it was the outside that hurt. I thought she was exaggerating whenever anyone barely touched her ear... nope, turns out her doctor says that it is VERY painful! Oops! Bad Mom! I only took her to the doctor today because with the most pitiful face she came to Brian and I last night at about 11 p.m. and said, "I just can't take this anymore!!!" At Jaxson's swim lessons today, she told everyone that she had, "Pool Ear" and could not get her head wet for 10 days.We got antibiotic drops for her ears, so hopefully my sweet angel will feel better soon:)

Oaklee and Brinlee chillin' by the pool!

Mother's Day

Yeah, I know that it is past Mother's Day, but I wanted to post these cute pics from the Mother's Day Tea at Jaxson's school. He rubbed my shoulders, painted my nails, made me a necklace, and shaved my legs. The leg thing is the kid's favorite thing every year. It is amazing to think that we have done Preschool with Ms. Lorene for 4 years straight. So fun!! I love being a Mom! I can not imagine my life without these sweet kids. I am so grateful that I have been entrusted with their love and care. Even though they are for sale some days:)

I Love Summer!!

Okay, I will update everyone on our summer so far.

It has been so awesome!

On the last day of school, Charlee got awards at the assembly. She also got 2nd place in the 1st and 2nd grade spelling bee. Way to go Charlee! Since Summer has started, there has been many ups and downs. She loves to learn. She has been working on her cursive handwriting. She has been making breakfast for Jax and O every morning while I sleep in:)

Mom, Dad, and Charlee at the spelling bee.

She spelled 4th grade, 3rd quarter words. She is so smart!!

Oaklee performed in the Kindergarten's end of the year program. It was a tribute to America. I almost cried, it was so fabulous. My favorite part was when Oaklee stuck her cute little head through the hole in Mt. Rushmore and had to stand on her tip toes to reach the microphone. This Summer has been a relaxing time for Oaklee. She eats, sleeps, and swims... what a life. She is reading so well and still cracks me up daily.

She was so cute at the presentation.

Jaxson had Preschool Graduation. I am so glad he has another year in preschool... he needs it:) Mostly because of me, so I am trying to make up for it. He wore a sweet little graduation hat and wants to be a builder of Buzz and Woody toys when he grows up. He went to swim lessons for the second session this past week. He kicks like he is riding a bike, but he is getting better, thanks to Aunt Nancy's stellar teaching skills.

Jaxson with Ms. Loreen and Ms. Carolyn at graduation.

Jaxson and Aunt Nancy swimming around:)... kind of??

I have been so busy this summer. Between Swim lessons, school lessons, and packing to move next week, I have been a little crazy. I have enjoyed it so much. I decided at the beginning of the summer that I was going to improve my kid's brains every day:) Each of them has to read a book, do their letters and phonograms, do one or 3 sheets of math, and handwriting. It take me about 1.5 hours to get it done, but it has been so much fun. We do science experiments and I love to watch them grow and learn. I have the time:) It is summer!

Brian went to Scout Camp this week at Lake Powell. I think he is having fun... He gets reception, but I only get to talk to him once a day. I am so glad he will be coming home tonight. I have missed him so much. He is my BFF, after all.
I will do my best to update... we will see:)
